It is yearly hosted at the Empire Polo Club in the Coachella Valley, California where there are 5 main stages for performances and innumerable art installations donning the place.

It all started just few days after Halloween in 1993 when Pearl Jam boycotted Ticket-master and all venues associated with the company. They did this because the band wanted to sell concert tickets for a minimal price but the company balked and piled on the prices. As such, the band looked for a location that has never held a music festival before. The ready answer was Coachella Valley in the middle of Colorado dessert.
Their concert in Coachella lured about 25,000 fans, and since then the place earned a reputation for hosting large-scale event. Later, in 1999 the concert was inaugurated as a yearly music festival. From then on, the Coachella Music and Arts Festival became a name of its own.

Can I still get a Ticket?
Unfortunately, tickets were already sold-out in just 3 hours after announcement. However, you can still score a ticket from resellers in eBay or StubHub. Just take note that resale tickets are priced heftier than the original price. The festival sold General Admission priced at $399 each.
How should I prepare?
If you finally have your ticket, it is important that you know these unspoken rules at the festival. You will see everyone dressed to the nines here. Why? Because it is also filled with fashion moments. People generally wear Boho-style with comfortable and breathable apparels.
As the place is sunny, you might want to wear a good pair of sunglasses, wide-brim hat and sunscreen. Lastly, you will notice that all have their own bandana. You should have yours too!
