Good to know there are a lot of live music bars and hubs that you can try out for your own kind of music!

Tago Jazz Café

If you have a deep taste for the intricacies and artfulness of Jazz music, TAGO Jazz café is a perfect hangout place for you. Here you can plunge into the ecstasy of syncopation and great improvisation by local Jazz musicians and singers.

saGuijo Café + Bar

7612 Guijo Street, San Antonio, Makati City

Route 196

196-A Katipunan Ave., Project 4, Quezon City

Enjoy a rough introduction to Manila’s fast-growing Indie scene here at Route 196. Expect to enjoy new stream of music from Autotelic, Tom’s Story, Jensen and the Flips, SUD and Miles Experience. You can check out their Twitter account for the latest their upcoming production.

12 Monkeys

12 Monkeys is a place to enjoy your all-time favorite OPM Bands + the Indie greats. Urbandub and Kamikazee both gave their last show here. You got to check out the swabe nights every first Thursday of the month, to enjoy free music from the LPG Bands that includes Jensen and the Flips, MilesExperience, SUD plus 5ive Story Fire. 70’s Bistro

46 Anonas Street, Project Street, Quezon City

This  one of the most popular and long-running bar that has served great music, food and booze for Manila people. It sports good acoustics and sound system that sound-picky people can appreciate. You can frequent popular OPM bands and artists here like Franco, Wolfgang, Tanya Markova and yes a 70’s band, like The Jerks.

Mow’s

Kowloon House Basement, 20 Matalino Street, Teacher’s village, Quezon City

A go-to venue for start-up production and great college bands, Mow’s is a good hangout place for the young and those looking for new wave of music. During Wednesday you can check out Jazz bands, and Stand-up comedy every Tuesday. Also, there’s no way to have bite of Kowloon siopao while having an inuman.

B-side

The Collective, 7274 Malugay Street, San Antonio Village Makati City

The best place to have a chillax night and savory grilled food is the B-side at The Collective Makati. It is a reggae and ska hub for music tripping and partying. Drop by this place during the weekend and know that it is a crowd-favorite. A key takeaway from the fans: their Sunday night shows are fantastic!

19 East Bar and Grill

Kilometer 19, East Service Road, Sucat, Muntinlupa City

Although it is located in a far-flung area, 19 East still proves to be a must visit place for the best live performances of great names in the music industry. When we say must visit, we do really mean it. Expect to listen to bands like Parokya ni Edgar, Up Dharma Down, Side A, Freestyle, Bamboo, you name it.
